On the evaluation of cutting performance when machining
Kolomý, Štěpán ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on cutting performace during intterupted cutting conditions and on the problems of intermittent turning. There is tested cutting performace of indexable inserts from cubic boron nitride and ceramic during interrupted face turning in experimental part. Tools wear and shape of chips are analyzed. The output of this work is data processing and their comparison.
Analysis of cutting insert performance when machining of a titanium alloy
Fasora, Jan ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with machinability of titanium alloys, cutting performance and wear of indexable cutting inserts (ICO) when turning. The experimental and very basic part of the work is presented with experiments in several series, where the cutting ability and wear of the selected inserts are assessed. Apart of some other measurements the results are justified with 3D measuring device and a scanning electron microscope analyses.
Cutting ceramics and its effective use
Podešva, Lukáš ; Dvořáková, Jana (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
In the first part of this diploma thesis there are discribed basic findings about cutting ceramics (sorts, notation, structure, physical-mechanical properties, using, production) and it evaluates this tool material from the aspect of cutting power. The second part focuses on complex data processing about assortment of ceramics cutting materials of significant tool materials producers and comparison of service conditions (kind of mechanided materials, cutting conditions), which are recommend for effective turning by producers.
